Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital was founded in 1890 as the Hebrew Friendly Inn, and later became known as the Hebrew Home for the Incurables. Later, the home was renamed Levindale for Louis H. Levin, a former executive director of the Associated Jewish Charities.
